Questions people ask us
Wooden or synthetic floor for badminton?
Both are used. Sprung wood is what top halls use and is kindest on knees over long sessions; sports vinyl costs less and is quicker to lay. We help you choose by use, budget and the hall itself.
Why the rubber pads under the boards?
The EPDM pads let the floor give slightly under a landing, which takes load off players’ joints. That shock absorption is what EN 14904 measures.
What does a wooden floor need after installation?
Daily dry mopping, a screen and recoat every 1–2 years, and a full sand and refinish every 8–10 years.
